MISSION STATEMENT
"The Bennettsville Downtown Development Association (BDDA) is dedicated to the development, growth and preservation of Bennettsville's historic downtown area."
Alford Cassidy is working as a summer intern with the Bennetsville Downtown Development Association (BDDA). Cassidy's parents live in Wallace and Cassidy is working on his master's degree in planning at Virgina Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He received his BA degree from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH. As a requirement of receiving his master's, Cassidy is must complete 180 hours of community service.

Ken Harmon, Executive Director of the Bennettsville Downtown Development Association (BDDA) recently attended a quarterly manager's meeting of Main Street manager's across the state. The meeting was held in Columbia and featured work sessions on Advocacy; how to work with local elected officials.
